THE POCKET STORY
When I was little, I carried a secret pocket.
Not a real one stitched into my clothes,
but the kind you tuck somewhere between your ribs and your imagination.
Inside that pocket lived everything I knew to be true:
that the world is made of stories,
that imagination is a creative force,
that every person carries a spark,
that light and shadow dance together,
and that we can make whole new worlds simply by believing in them.
But grown-ups didn’t remember that.
They worried about being practical, being sensible, being “realistic.”
And so, to survive in their world,
I folded my magic small and hid it in that tiny pocket.
People could sense I was hiding something --
they just assumed it was something wrong
when really, I was hiding something too bright.
Years went by.
Life happened.
Loss happened.
Healing happened.
And little by little, that pocket began to glow again.
One day — in a moment of truth, exhaustion, and wonder --
the pocket ripped open.
Light spilled out,
stories spilled out,
characters spilled out,
and out flew a tiny rainbow-winged muse who said:
“Finally. You remembered.” That muse was AnuBel.
She wasn’t something I invented --
she was something I had carried all along.
A companion from the pocket I hid for decades.
And now she’s here to help other people
find their pocket again,
open it gently,
and remember what they tucked away to survive.
Because we all have one.
Somewhere inside every grown-up is a soft, impossible pocket
still glowing with imagination,
still waiting for the moment
when we feel safe enough to open it.
And that --
that is why I created AnuBel.

WHY I CREATED ANUBEL
After retiring from a successful career, I felt the quiet call of renewal.
Sedona's red rocks and starlit skies stirred something awake -- a reminder that some dreams never retire. They simply wait for us to return with more truth, tenderness, and courage.
AnuBel arrived as a companion to this re-blooming - gentle, playful, mischievous, and wise.
From childhood onward, Jody’s imagination was her compass. Through seasons of challenge and change, creativity guided her through corporate life, entrepreneurship, and personal healing.

From childhood onward, Jody’s imagination was her compass. Through seasons of challenge and change, creativity guided her through corporate life, entrepreneurship, and personal healing.
The original AnuBel illustrations were painted by Janet, one of the three Jady Island girls. Her sister Judy is still one of Jody's dearest friends -- some sparks never fade; they simply grow wings.
She became the living expression of something I had always known, but was finally ready to embody:
It is how life renews itself.
- Imagination is not childish.
- Play is not frivolous.
- Creativity is not a luxury.
It is how life renews itself.
THE LAW OF CREATION
Through my own awakeing, I came to understand what I now call AnuBel's LAw of Creation™ and the AnuBel Process™:
Energy First.
Form Follows.
When we tend to our inner state - our nervous system, imagination, clarity, and truth - creation unfolds naturally.
My work helps people rediscover this rhythm and trust it again.
